Where & when do we meet?

We have a regular Thursday evening ride. This is within available daylight, so something like 15 miles or so off road. We start outside Whiteley Primary School (in Gull Coppice, Whiteley) PO15 7LA at 7pm every Thursday. It's a different off-road route every week, and the pace is sociable. We are a very friendly bunch, and always stop to help if there's a problem, but you'll be expected to be self sufficient with provisions for puncture repairs and minor mechanical problems, so you'll need a pump, spare tube(s), trail tool, etc. Basic lights are also a sensible idea, just in case of unexpected delays. We avoid roads as much as possible, but some of our routes include short road links and crossings.

Sunday rides are 15-20 miles and start at 10am from the same place. The terrain is moderate and the pace will be sociable, so it'll take something like 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours.

There are some great routes from Whiteley, and the Thursday rides are always fun. We either head for the coast, with its gravel paths, or Whiteley woods where there are over ten miles of woodland trails with convenient links to other areas. Either way, the scenery is very nice.

We hope to see you out on a Thursday ride soon. It's much better than Eastenders!
